Does YES make any charges to the student?
As you will note from our application procedure, YES makes absolutely no charges whatsoever from start to finish regardless of whether or not the student is successful in obtaining a visa.

How does YES make its money?
Though YES do not charge the students, it is nevertheless a business and as such students should make the necessary comparisons before making an application.

Is there a guarantee for a visa?
No! YES do not charge students. As such there is no guarantee of a visa but you will be happy to learn that YES is the most successful business of its kind and that we have a very high proportion success rate.

Why are students required to pay an advance tuition fee?
As Holborn College receives the largest number of students from Bangladesh and as YES is the most successful business of its kind, many applicants believe that it is an easy way to get a visa and then to disappear in the UK. YES is a student recruitment firm and does not allow any such applications. Further, the Holborn College offer letter cannot be used as a passport for a visa.

What happens to the tuition fee if a student is refused a visa?

In the case of Holborn College, the advance tuition fee is not sent directly to the college until a visa is obtained. As such it cannot be cashed by the college until a visa is obtained. It constitutes the students tuition fee and is payable via bank draft in favour of the college. As such it cannot be cashed by YES. If a student is refused a visa, the bank draft is returned to the student upon production of a visa refusal letter or a copy of passport and return of original offer package.

Can a student transfer to another college in the UK?
Students who are successful in obtaining a visa are not entitled to a refund and as such if they transfer elsewhere, they will lose their advance deposit. Students are therefore strongly advised to make the necessary comparisons before making an application. Students may transfer in Yr 2 or 3 if they wish. However it should be noted that Holborn College is unique amongst colleges and that there is very good reason to study there.

Is Holborn College the best college or cheapest college?
Holborn College is the most successful independent law and business college in the UK. It is dedicated, small enough to provide individual treatment, has excellent facilities and teachers, has a very good track record and students have obtained first class and even the world's highest result from the college. The 'best' is usually a relative term and as such it is difficult to say, but for a large number of students it is the best suited to a student's needs. It is certainly not the cheapest, but if you choose a cheaper institute you will not get the same facilities and teachers.

Do students need IELTS or TOEFL?
Whilst offers were made unconditionally in the past, from Sept 2003 all students will need to obtain a good IELTS or TOEFL score, regardless of whether the High Commission or the Institute has requested one. YES firmly believes that genuine students should make an effort to improve their English if they intend to study in a country where tuition fees and living costs are high, to ensure that they are fully equipped. In this regard it is questionable when a student does not intend to make the necessary preparations and can make the difference between obtaining a visa and being refused. It may be added that to successfully study, one must be able to comprehend reading passages, write in a planned manner, give oral presentations in seminars and last but not least understand lectures. As such students will need the four basic skills that are taught in IELTS. So it is a very wise idea to start preparing for IELTS immediately.

Further Queries
In addition to these queries, a student may rightfully enquire about the institute offered to them, entry requirements, about living abroad, accommodation, health care, work, legal rights etc. Whilst it is not possible to fit all information in a single leaflet, YES are happy to advise students about any query that they might have. Where the answer to the query is unknown, YES will promptly refer to the correct department.
